WHO IS THIS GUY?
Arthur Simon is an actor and artist working in oil paint, rocks and performance. Arthur was born in Louisiana, graduated from Oberlin College, studied comedy improvisation in Chicago and cofounded Austin’s ColdTowne Theater in 2006. He has worked as training specialist for Dell Medical School since 2016 and founded robotic theater troupe Bot Party, staging performances at Fusebox Festival, Maker Faire and SXSW Interactive. Film & TV credits include Big Momma’s House 2, Parkland, 1923 and most recently Brothers. Arthur lives in San Marcos, TX, where he currently serves on the Arts Commission.
WHAT’S HE DONE?
As film and television actor Arthur Simone, Arthur has appeared in everything from John Bock’s Dead + Juicy to Hayes Carll’s She Left Me For Jesus. As an abstract expressionist painter and sculptor, Arthur has been a regular fixture on annual East Austin and San Marcos Studio Tours and has been a finalist for the Hunting Art Prize.
